Usually when we hear about UFO sightings the eye witnesses are good old boys in the swamps of Mississippi or Louisiana. These events usually occur at least three hours past “beer thirty!” But when a flying saucer is seen by at least a dozen employees of United Airlines in broad daylight at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, now that’s a different story.

What the “Fly the Friendly Skies” workers all saw was a saucer shape air craft on November 7, hovering motionless above Concourse C of the United Terminal. Then without making a sound, it started soaring upwards through the overcast Windy City skies. Witnesses say it flew through so fast, that it left an eerie circular hole in the clouds, allowing blue sky to peak through the cloudy Heavens!

FAA spokesperson Elizabeth Isham Cory said it was caused by a “weather phenomenon!” You know what Liz, lightning, hurricanes, tornadoes, snow storms and floods are weather phenomenons. Which one of them put a big round hole in the clouds?

Saddam Hussein can’t drop dead without a cell phone camera recording his demise and a post-mortem sequel for distribution on the Internet.

Britney Spears can’t totter through one night as a trollop without photographic evidence popping up the Internet.

YouTube.com has video of a costumed Tigger appearing to punch a teen in the face at Walt Disney World.

Little kids can’t drink from hoses, fat people can’t sit in spindly chairs, old ladies can’t get off poorly docked boats, and dads holding pinatas can’t get hit in the crotch without cameras capturing the hilarity for TV’s “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”

You can’t even go to work without a camera recording you filling up with gas, buying coffee, running a yellow light, zipping through a toll booth or entering your office.

But search the Internet for a clip of the UFO reported hovering Nov. 7 above O’Hare International Airport, and you come up empty.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Two NASA space probes that visited Mars 30 years ago may have found alien microbes on the Red Planet and inadvertently killed them, a scientist is theorizing.

The Viking space probes of 1976-77 were looking for the wrong kind of life, so they didn’t recognize it, a geology professor at Washington State University said.

Dirk Schulze-Makuch presented his theory in a paper delivered at a meeting of the American Astronomical Society in Seattle, Washington.

The paper was released Sunday.

Based on a more expansive view of where life can take root, the paper’s findings may prompt NASA to look for a different type of Martian life when its next spacecraft to visit Mars is launched later this year, one of the space agency’s top scientists said.

Retired policeman Mike Lindop was disturbed during an evening of television watching at his home in Telford – by a UFO.

Mr Lindop was watching TV at in his home at Moorhouse Close, Wellington, when he looked out of the window and saw a strange tubular object in the sky.

It was traveling at speed and issuing yellow and orange flames, but made no sound. He went outside to get a closer look with his wife Carol Ann and son Darran, and they saw it disappear towards Newport.

He said: “It was about 7.30pm when I saw it. It was a long, cylindrical thing, about 1,000ft up in the sky and it must have been travelling at more than 100mph.I’ve never seen anything like it before and am completely lost to know what it is. It left me feeling quite uptight. It seemed to be on fire but it looked nothing like an aircraft and made no noise at all.

“I wish I’d had a camera but by the time we thought about it, it had gone. I’d be surprised if nobody else has seen it.”

UFO expert Phil Hoyle said the sighting matched many others over recent years, although he had not had any recent reports.

Mr Hoyle, head of the Shrewsbury-based UFO Investigation and Research Unit, said: “It is an extremely common description. There have been many reports of this object over Wellington and Telford and in fact worldwide.
